Job Title: Travel Consultant

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a high-precision Travel Consultant to join our global team. In this role, you won't just book trips; you will orchestrate complex travel itineraries for over 1 million global travelers across 32+ countries.
  • You will be the technical backbone of our customer experience, ensuring "surgical accuracy" in every ticket issued and providing expert-level resolution for travel disruptions. Beyond technical mastery, we value professionals who are self-aware, open to feedback, and committed to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Operations: Manage high-volume, multi-channel queries (calls, emails, chat) with a focus on complex fare construction and global airline policies.
  • Precision Ticketing: Execute end-to-end ticket issuance, manual reissuance, voids, and refunds across multiple GDS platforms with zero-error tolerance.
  • Crisis & IRROPS Management: Proactively navigate flight schedule changes and Irregular Operations (IRROPS) to ensure passenger safety and minimal journey disruption.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for 20+ global airline partners and internal tech teams to resolve booking bottlenecks in real-time.
  • Value-Added Service: Identify opportunities to enhance the traveler experience through ancillary services, travel insurance, and expert itinerary planning.
  • Growth-Mindset Networking: Liaise with global airlines and internal teams. We seek a collaborator who views feedback as a tool for operational excellence.

Candidate Profile & Behavioural Competencies

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Travel & Tourism, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on experience in an Online Travel Agency (OTA) or Airline Operations environment.
  • Market Knowledge: Proven track record of handling B2C or B2B clients across diverse markets (e.g., Africa, UAE, UK).
  • Extreme Ownership: A proven track record of taking responsibility for outcomes, acknowledging mistakes, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Professional Presence: Maintains a high standard of professional grooming and conduct suitable for an international airline representative.

Technical Skillset:

  • GDS Mastery: Deep proficiency in Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo is mandatory (certification is a significant advantage).
  • Fare Expertise: Advanced understanding of IATA regulations and Fare Rules.
  • Workflow: Proficiency in CRM systems and PWA (Progressive Web App) workflows.

Salary
N350,000 / month.
