We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: ICT Teacher

Location: Elizou, Port harcourt - Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• An ICT (Information and Communication Technology) Teacher delivers instruction in computing, digital literacy, and technology skills to students.
• The role combines teaching, curriculum development, and technical support depending on the school level.

Core Responsibilities
Lesson Planning & Delivery:

• Design and teach lessons on computer science, digital literacy, coding, networking, databases, web design, and office applications
• Align curriculum with national standards like WAEC, NECO, Cambridge IGCSE, or Nigeria’s NERDC curriculum for secondary schools
• Differentiate instruction for varying skill levels from basic typing to programming in Python, Scratch, or HTML/CSS
• Prepare students for external exams: JAMB UTME, WAEC, NECO, or professional certs like Microsoft Office Specialist

Classroom & Lab Management:

• Maintain computer labs, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and ensure safe internet usage
• Enforce digital citizenship, online safety, cyberbullying awareness, and data privacy practices
• Manage software licenses, updates, and inventory of ICT equipment

Assessment & Reporting:

• Develop practical projects, tests, and assignments to evaluate technical and theoretical understanding
• Track student progress, provide feedback, and report to parents/guardians during PTA meetings
• Keep records of attendance, grades, and skills progression

Curriculum Development:

• Update schemes of work to reflect new tech: AI literacy, robotics, cloud tools, cybersecurity basics
• Integrate ICT across other subjects by supporting colleagues with EdTech tools like Google Classroom, MS Teams, Kahoot

Extra-Curricular & Admin:

• Run coding clubs, robotics teams, or tech competitions like Cowbellpedia or Spelling Bee ICT challenges
• Train fellow staff on using smartboards, LMS platforms, and digital admin tools
• Stay current with tech trends and attend workshops for professional development.

Salary
N50,000 - N100,000 per month.
