Job Summary
The Head of Global Sales and Marketing is responsible for leading, developing, and executing United Nigeria Airlines’ worldwide sales and marketing strategies.
Duties/Responsiblities
Develop and execute comprehensive global sales and marketing strategies to achieve ambitious revenue targets, increase market share, and enhance brand visibility for United Nigeria Airlines across all international markets.
Lead, motivate, and mentor a diverse, high-performing global team, fostering collaboration across multiple regions and cultures to drive results and innovation
Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, industry partners, and government stakeholders to maximize sales opportunities and secure strategic alliances
Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, customer behaviors, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities, mitigate risks, and inform business decisions
Oversee the planning and implementation of digital marketing campaigns, brand management initiatives, and public relations efforts to enhance the airline’s reputation and engage customers effectively
Collaborate with internal departments—including operations, customer service, finance, and product development—to ensure seamless delivery and alignment of sales and marketing activities with business objectives
Manage budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure the highest return on investment for all sales and marketing projects
Monitor, evaluate, and report on sales performance, marketing effectiveness, and progress against established objectives, recommending improvements where necessary
Represent United Nigeria Airlines at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote the airline’s interests and forge new business opportunities
Drive innovation by identifying and adopting emerging technologies, tools, and best practices that enhance sales and marketing operations
Oversee and optimize airline distribution strategies, including the adoption and implementation of New Distribution Capability (NDC) standards, to improve product accessibility, broaden sales channels, and strengthen relationships with key distribution partners.

Revenue-Focused KPIs
Revenue Attributed to Marketing/Sales: Measures total sales generated from campaigns and pipelines, calculated as revenue from marketing efforts divided by spend.
Marketing ROI: (Revenue from Marketing / Marketing Spend) x 100, essential for justifying global budgets and proving campaign profitability.
Pipeline Velocity: (Opportunities x Deal Size x Win Rate) / Sales Cycle Length, indicating speed of deals through international sales funnels.
Lead and Conversion Metrics:
Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs): Tracks volume and quality of leads handed off globally, with rates like Lead-to-Customer Conversion = (Customers / Leads) x 100.
Conversion Rate: (Conversions / Total Visitors) x 100, assessing effectiveness across channels like digital ads and events.
Win Rate: Percentage of opportunities closed successfully, critical for sales team performance worldwide.
Perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the Chief Commercial Officer.
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in sales and marketing leadership roles within the airline or travel industry, with proven international exposure.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to drive results in dynamic and competitive environments.
Proficiency in data analysis, digital marketing platforms, and CRM systems.
