Job Title: Construction Materials Supervisor
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Role Overview
The Construction Materials Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management, quality control, storage, and utilization of all construction materials across multiple high-end development sites. This role is critical to ensuring that only premium-grade materials are procured, handled, and deployed in line with the company’s luxury standards, project timelines, and cost efficiency goals.
The ideal candidate must bring deep industry experience, a strong eye for quality, and the ability to enforce strict material control systems across sites.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise the procurement, inspection, storage, and issuance of construction materials across project sites
Ensure all materials meet required specifications, quality standards, and approved samples for luxury developments
Work closely with Procurement, Project Managers, and Quantity Surveyors to forecast material requirements and prevent shortages or overstocking
Monitor and control material usage to minimize waste, theft, and mismanagement
Maintain accurate inventory records, stock levels, and material movement logs across all sites
Conduct routine site inspections to verify proper handling, storage conditions, and usage of materials
Establish and enforce material control policies, SOPs, and reporting systems
Coordinate timely delivery of materials to meet project schedules without delays
Investigate discrepancies, losses, or quality issues and provide actionable reports
Liaise with vendors and suppliers to ensure consistency in quality and delivery timelines
Support cost control initiatives by ensuring optimal material utilization

Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management, or a related field
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., NIQS, COREN, CIOB) will be an added advantage
Experience Requirements:
7–10 years proven experience in construction materials management, preferably within a real estate developer or construction firm
At least 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role
Experience working on luxury or high-end residential/commercial projects is highly preferred.
Core Competencies:
Strong knowledge of construction materials (finishes, structural materials, fittings, and luxury-grade products)
High attention to detail with a strong quality control mindset
Excellent inventory and materials management skills
Strong analytical and reporting ability
Integrity and accountability in handling high-value materials
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple sites simultaneously
Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Excel.
