Job description

• We are currently looking for a Senior CBM Technician to join its work force in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities
Rotating Equipment Expertise:

• Pumps, compressors, motors, turbines
• Bearing and seal maintenance
• Alignment and balancing techniques.

Vibration Analysis:

• Data collection and interpretation
• Use of vibration monitoring tools (e.g., CSI, SKF, Bently Nevada)
• First-level diagnostics and reporting.

Infrared Thermography:

• Thermal imaging for electrical and mechanical systems
• Identifying hotspots, insulation issues, and sand levels in vessels

Lubrication & Oil Analysis.

• Oil sampling procedures
• Understanding of oil properties and contamination indicators
• Familiarity with oil analysis software and databases.

Condition Monitoring Systems.

• PI System (OSIsoft) or similar platforms
• Real-time data interpretation (temperature, pressure, vibration)

Mechanical Maintenance & Troubleshooting.

• Hands-on repair and refurbishment (e.g., bearing/motor replacement)
• Use of hand and power tools
• Reading mechanical drawings and P&IDs.

Profile

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in the maintenance field on offshore oil and gas installations.
• Higher National Diploma or Higher qualification in Mechanical/Production Engineering
• Ability to perform detailed vibration collection and analysis, download the data into the vibration database, realize the first level of analysis of results, send a monthly backup to onshore for detailed analysis, and follow the achievement of the Company's approved vibration corrective actions
• Ability to carry out and interpret thermography survey, perform daily monitoring of Pump & Turbines condition (temperature, performance, vibration, etc.) with the online process data (Pl), and suggest corrective actions to avoid failures
• Knowledge of Spectrographic (oil analysis).
