Senior Lecturer - Science Laboratory Tech (Physics with Electronics Option) at Federal Polytechnic, Ukana

The Federal Polytechnic, Ukana is one of the Institutions established by the Federal Govemment of Nigeria in 2014. It is located in Ukana, Km 5, Ikot Ekpene-Abak Road in Ess Essien Udim Local Govemment Area, Akwa Ibom State. The Federal Polytechnics (Amendment) Act 2019 gives legal backing to the establishment of the Institution. It operates on two Campuses, Main and the Annex with five (5) Schools. All the Academic Programmes of the Polytechnic have been accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). The Institution pride itself on modern infrastructural facilities and state-of-the-art equipment.

Requirements

• PhD in the relevant fields from recognized Institutions with at least six (6) years cognate experience or Master’s Degree in the relevant fields from recognized Institutions with at least eight (8) years cognate experience with proven ability for applied research and industrial work.
• Must have been a Lecturer I in the last 3 years.
• Demonstrable ability to initiate and supervise approved research project.
• Published one (1) Journal Article or two Chapters contribution in standard Textbook.
• The candidates must have since last promotion attended and read at least three (3) Conference/Seminar papers.
• Academic and Administrative Leadership.
• Evidence of Community Service.
• Membership of relevant Professional Bodies as appropriate.

Salary Grade
CONPCASS 7.

Condition of Service
The Condition of Service is applicable as in all Federal Polytechnics per the guidelines of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and the Federal Government. This position is pensionable with allowances as approved.
