Job Title: Security Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by patrolling the premises,and controlling access points. You will be the first line of defense against unauthorized entry, theft, and safety hazards.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify the identity of all employees, visitors, and contractors entering the facility. Manage visitor logs and issue temporary badges as required.
• Patrols: Conduct regular foot patrols of the perimeter, parking areas, and sensitive zones to ensure all entry points are locked and secure.
• Respond immediately to emergencies, including fire alarms, medical incidents, or security breaches, following established protocols.
• Maintain a detailed daily occurrence log. Promptly draft incident reports for any thefts, property damage, or safety violations.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND)or SSCE with 2 years experience
• Proven experience as a Security Officer or in a similar protective role.
• Exceptional alertness, physical fitness, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• A clean criminal record and a high level of personal and professional ethics.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with staff and visitors.
