Job Title: Senior Legal Officer (Real Estate & Land Transactions)

Location: Ogere-Remo, Ogun

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Officer with over 5 years of experience in real estate and land transactions to provide legal support on property acquisitions, land verification, and corporate operations.
• The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of land laws, property documentation, and regulatory compliance within the real estate sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct legal due diligence on land and property acquisitions
• Verify land documents such as C of O, Gazette, Excision, Survey Plan, and Deed of Assignment
• Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts, agreements, and legal documents
• Advise management on legal matters relating to land transactions and company operations
• Liaise with government agencies, land registries, and regulatory bodies for approvals and documentation
• Handle property disputes, litigation matters, and legal risk management
• Ensure compliance with land laws, property regulations, and company policies
• Maintain accurate legal records and documentation related to land transactions

Requirements

• LL.B and BL qualification
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in legal practice, preferably in real estate and land transactions
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian land laws and property documentation processes
• Experience in conducting land verification and due diligence
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

Salary
N300,000 - N500,000 per month (Based on Experience).
