Job Objectives / Summary

• The Infrastructure Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization’s core infrastructure platforms, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of systems.
• The role supports business operations by maintaining reliable IT environments across on premise and cloud platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure platforms (servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud services).
• Ensure system availability, performance, and scalability across all platforms.
• Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid environments.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Maintain system security, patching, and compliance with IT policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams for seamless deployment and operations.
• Maintain documentation of systems, configurations, and processes.

Job Requirements
Education and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, VMware, etc.)
• Experience: 3–7+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering.

Knowledge:

• IT infrastructure architecture (servers, storage, and virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V)
• Cloud computing platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls)
• Operating systems (Windows Server and Linux distributions)
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tools (Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation)
• Monitoring and logging tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity principles
• Cybersecurity standards, system hardening, and vulnerability management
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) – added advantage
• DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines – added advantage.

Salary
N500,000 - N850,000 monthly.
