Job Title: Junior Credit Officer

Locations: Sango Ota & Ifo, Ogun

Job Summary

• We are looking for a motivated Junior Credit Officer to join our team.
• You will be trained to assist with client registration, loan processing, disbursement, daily collections, and portfolio management.
• This is a great opportunity for a recent university graduate to start a career in microfinance and credit operations.

Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Registration:

• Assist in marketing daily-loan products to prospective clients.
• Support the registration of new clients while ensuring accurate documentation.
• Help explain loan terms and repayment schedules to clients clearly and professionally.

Verification & Assessment:

• Assist in verifying client information and business details.
• Support creditworthiness assessments under the guidance of senior officers.
• Prepare accurate and timely verification reports.

Loan Processing & Disbursement:

• Support the preparation of credit files for approval.
• Assist in disbursing approved loans in line with company policies and procedures.
• Communicate repayment expectations to clients under supervision.

Collections & Record Keeping:

• Support the daily collection of loan repayments.
• Maintain accurate records of collections and client information.
• Escalate repayment challenges and delinquency issues to senior officers promptly.

Portfolio Management

• Assist in maintaining a healthy loan portfolio under supervision.
• Support accurate record-keeping of clients, groups, and repayment schedules.
• Learn to track and report portfolio performance to support business targets.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
• No prior experience required — full training will be provided.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
