Job Summary

• The DevOps Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for building, automating, securing, and maintaining scalable cloud and on-premise infrastructure environments that support business-critical applications and services.
• The role focuses on infrastructure automation, CI/CD enablement, system reliability, monitoring, and cloud operations to ensure high availability, performance, and operational efficiency across the organization’s technology platforms.
• The ideal candidate combines strong infrastructure engineering expertise with DevOps practices, cloud technologies, and automation capabilities to support rapid and reliable software delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Cloud Operations:

• Design, deploy, manage, and optimize cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Maintain highly available, scalable, and resilient infrastructure platforms.
• Manage Linux and Windows server environments, networking, storage, and virtualization platforms.
• Implement infrastructure best practices for scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance.

DevOps & Automation:

• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment and infrastructure provisioning.
• Automate routine operational tasks, deployments, monitoring, and system configurations.
• Support containerized environments using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.

Monitoring, Reliability & Incident Management:

• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Zabbix, or Datadog.
• Ensure proactive detection and resolution of infrastructure and application issues.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and system recovery activities.
• Maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.

Security & Compliance:

• Implement infrastructure security best practices including patching, hardening, vulnerability remediation, and access control management.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Security teams to improve platform security posture.

Collaboration & Documentation:

• Work closely with Software Engineering, Security, QA, and Product teams to support reliable software delivery.
• Maintain technical documentation for infrastructure architecture, deployment processes, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across infrastructure and DevOps practices.

Job Requirements
Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 4–7+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering roles.
• Relevant certifications such as:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • AWS DevOps Engineer
  • Microsoft Azure Administrator
  • Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD)
  • Terraform Associate
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).

Salary
N500,000 - N900,000 monthly.
