Lead British International School Limited (LBIS) is a Co-educational model school established by intelligent and seasoned academics and educational administrators who commonly share the vision of giving back to the nation’s educational system. LBIS caters for day students from crèche to 18 years and currently has over a thousand students with 400 boarding students in its secondary school. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Geography Teacher

Location:  Osun

Role Description

• This is a full-time on-site role for a Geography Teacher based in Oshogbo.
• The teacher will plan and deliver comprehensive lessons aligned with the academic curriculum, ensure active student engagement, and assess student progress regularly.
• Responsibilities include preparing engaging teaching materials, leading classroom activities, managing student behaviour effectively, and maintaining an inclusive and supportive teaching environment.
• Participating in school events, collaborating with colleagues, and providing feedback to both students and parents will also be key aspects of this role.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and expertise in Geography, with familiarity with the English National Curriculum
• Proficient in lesson planning, classroom management, and instructional techniques to cater to diverse learning styles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and student engagement
• Ability to assess and evaluate student performance, with attention to providing constructive feedback
• Proficiency with technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and deliver interactive lessons
• Relevant teaching certification or licensure is required
• A Bachelor's degree in Geography, Education, or a related field; a Master’s degree is an advantage
• Prior teaching experience, especially in a school offering an integrated curriculum, is preferred
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive, stimulating, and safe learning environment for students.
