Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding the company’s corporate and individual client base within Lagos and its environs.
  • The role focuses on sales strategy, client acquisition, contract management, and market expansion for car rental and chauffeured mobility services.

Key Responsibilities Business Growth & Sales

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new corporate, government, and individual clients for car rental services.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to increase fleet utilization and revenue.
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals, bids, and service packages to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service-level agreements (SLAs) with clients and partners.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, hotels, event planners, and logistics firms.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Gather client feedback and work closely with operations to improve service delivery.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and new opportunities within Lagos and Nigeria’s mobility sector.
  • Recommend new routes to market, service offerings (e.g., long-term leasing, executive chauffeured services), and pricing strategies.
  • Track and report on sales pipelines, conversion rates, and revenue performance.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with hotels, airlines, corporate organizations, and tourism-related businesses in Ikeja and across Lagos.
  • Represent the company at networking events, trade shows, and industry meetings.
  • Work closely with operations, fleet management, and finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates for senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Transport Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles (experience in car rental,
  • logistics, travel, or transportation is a strong advantage).
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the Lagos business environment and corporate market.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving
  • Relationship management and networking
  • Strong commercial and financial awareness
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Customer-focused mindset
  • Data-driven decision-making

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience dealing with corporate fleets or mobility services
  • Existing network of corporate or institutional clients in Lagos
  • Valid Nigerian driver’s license (an added advantage).
