We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cashier (Canteen Services)

Location: Warri, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are looking for a trustworthy, organized, and customer-friendly Cashier to manage financial transactions within our canteen services unit.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting smooth daily canteen operations.
• The successful candidate must be honest, attentive to detail, and capable of handling transactions accurately in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process customer payments accurately
• Operate cash register and POS systems efficiently
• Issue receipts and maintain records of daily sales transactions
• Balance cash register and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift
• Maintain accurate financial and inventory records where necessary
• Assist in monitoring stock and reporting shortages
• Attend to customers courteously and professionally
• Ensure proper handling and safekeeping of cash and other payment instruments
• Support the smooth daily operation of the canteen
• Perform other assigned duties as directed by management

Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE / OND qualification in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
• 1–2 years cashiering experience, preferably in a canteen, restaurant, or retail environment
• Good numerical and record-keeping skills
• Ability to operate POS machines and basic accounting tools
• Honest, responsible, and detail-oriented
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must reside in Warri, Delta State or its environs, as accommodation will not be provided
