The Analyst, Database Administrator role provides hands‑on exposure to database administration, data analysis, and reporting within a live production environment.
The role supports the build, monitoring, integrity, and security of organisational databases while assisting with data quality management, trend analysis, and reporting to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in writing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
Support database backup and recovery processes
Create, update, and maintain data reports, dashboards, and analytical tools
Perform data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and insights
Collaborate with business users to translate data needs into actionable reports
Support the development of business intelligence reports and visualizations
Assist in maintaining data integrity, accuracy, and consistency
Participate in improving existing reporting processes and systems
Support data cleaning, validation, and quality assurance processes
Document data analysis procedures, reports, and workflows
Generate ad‑hoc reports for business units as required
Attend team meetings and support project and operational activities
Comply with data protection, governance, and internal IT policies
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Accuracy and timeliness of reports and dashboards
Successful execution of SQL queries and data requests
Data integrity and consistency maintained
Turnaround time for resolving data‑related issues
Quality of documentation and reporting processes
Adherence to data governance and security standards
Database uptime and reliability
Effectiveness in translating business requirements into insights
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field
2-4 years of relevant functional experience
Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL (e.g., SELECT, JOIN, INSERT)
Strong interest in data analysis and database administration
Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server or similar databases is an advantage

Timely and accurate delivery of assigned data analysis tasks
Quality and accuracy of reports, dashboards, and query outputs
Ability to identify data trends, inconsistencies, and anomalies

N350,000 - N420,000 per month.
