Job Title: Stock Controller

Location: Utako, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Operations / Inventory Management
Reports To: Operations Manager / Finance Manager

Job Summary

• The Stock Controller is responsible for managing and monitoring inventory levels to ensure accuracy, accountability, and efficient stock movement within the organization.
• The role involves receiving, recording, tracking, and reconciling stock while maintaining proper documentation and preventing inventory loss or discrepancies.
• The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock deliveries.
• Conduct regular stock counts and inventory reconciliation.
• Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory items.
• Track stock movement and update inventory systems accordingly.
• Identify shortages, damages, or discrepancies and report promptly.
• Prepare inventory reports and submit them to management as required.
• Coordinate with procurement and operations teams to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with company inventory policies and procedures.
• Minimize stock loss, wastage, and pilferage.
• Maintain proper documentation of stock transactions and transfers.
• Support audits by providing accurate inventory records and reports.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of an OND / HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Officer, Storekeeper, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with inventory management software is an added advantage.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
