Position Overview

• Our client is seeking an exceptional Chief Operating Officer to drive operational excellence, scale production capacity, and shape the next phase of strategic growth across its value chain operations.
• As Chief Operating Officer, you will drive operational excellence and regional expansion.
• Success means optimizing factory throughput, embedding modern agricultural technologies, and steering sustainable growth across Nigeria's agro value chains.
• The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will serve as the senior executive responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of TMDK Agro Park.
• This strategic leadership role requires a visionary leader who can drive operational excellence, manage complex agro-manufacturing processes, and ensure sustainable business growth in the Nigerian agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies aligned with the company vision and market demands
• Oversee all manufacturing operations, quality control, supply chain management, and production planning
• Lead cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, procurement, and technical services departments
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency and profitability
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian regulatory requirements, food safety standards, and environmental regulations
• Drive digital transformation initiatives and implement modern agricultural technologies.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers, suppliers, distributors, and government agencies
• Develop and execute business continuity plans and risk management strategies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in agro-manufacturing, food processing, or related industries.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale operations with annual revenues exceeding ₦5 billion
• Deep understanding of Nigerian agricultural value chains, market dynamics, and regulatory environment
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost management, and P&L responsibility
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certifications in operations management or agricultural business.
• Experience with export operations and international market development.
• Knowledge of sustainable agriculture practices and environmental management systems.
