Job Title: Section Supervisor (Cashew Factory)

Location: Owo, Ondo

Job Summary

• The Section Supervisor (Cashew) will oversee daily operations within a designated section of the cashew processing line (e.g., shelling, drying, grading, or packaging).
• The role ensures that production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are consistently met by the team under their direct supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities within an assigned cashew processing section to achieve production targets.
• Lead, motivate, and coordinate a team of production workers and casual staff.
• Ensure all products leaving the section meet quality specifications before moving to the next stage.
• Monitor machine operation and report technical issues to maintenance teams promptly.
• Track individual and shift output, maintaining accurate daily production records.
• Enforce safety rules, proper PPE usage, and good housekeeping standards.
• Identify training needs and provide on-the-job coaching to team members.
• Manage attendance, shift handovers, and basic discipline issues.
• Communicate production bottlenecks or material shortages to the Production Manager immediately.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and increase efficiency.

Requirements

• OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Management, Food Technology, Agriculture, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in production supervision, preferably in agro-processing or food manufacturing.
• Basic understanding of cashew processing methods (advantage but not mandatory).
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet daily targets.
• Good communication and record-keeping abilities.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and extended hours during peak season.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.

Added Advantage:

• Previous experience specifically in cashew processing.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, or food safety standards.
• Experience supervising seasonal or contract workers.
• Basic mechanical or machine operation skills.
