Job Title: Direct Sales Agent (Marketer)

Job Summary
The Direct Sales Agent is responsible for driving customer acquisition, deposit mobilization, digital savings enrollment, loan generation, loan recovery, and promotion of the Cooperative Bank’s financial solutions and subsidiary products.
The role requires aggressive field marketing, relationship management, and consistent achievement of business growth targets through the bank’s mobile applications and physical channels.
The officer will also promote and market subsidiary products such as Foodstash and any other affiliated business offerings of the organization.
Mobilize savings through the bank’s mobile application and other digital platforms.
Drive customer enrollment and active usage of the bank’s savings app.
Open new savings, current, and fixed deposit accounts for individuals, groups, and businesses.
Meet assigned monthly targets for deposit mobilization and customer acquisition.
Promote target savings plans and encourage customers toward a consistent savings culture.
Follow up on inactive or dormant customers to improve account activity and retention.
Loan Generation & Recovery:
Source and onboard qualified customers for loan products.
Educate prospective customers on loan requirements, repayment plans, and eligibility.
Conduct preliminary customer profiling and verification before loan processing.
Follow up on loan applications and ensure proper documentation.
Monitor customer repayment performance and carry out loan recovery follow-ups where necessary.
Maintain healthy customer relationships while ensuring repayment compliance.
Escalate overdue or delinquent loan cases appropriately.
Fixed Deposit Drive:
Market fixed deposit investment opportunities to individuals and corporate clients.
Educate customers on fixed deposit benefits, returns, and investment packages.
Build relationships with high-net-worth individuals and cooperative groups for investment opportunities.
Product Marketing & Cross-Selling:
Promote all banking products and services, including digital banking, transfers, POS services, loans, savings plans, and investment products.
Advertise and market subsidiary products, including Foodstash and other affiliated services of the organization.
Cross-sell relevant products based on customer needs.
Participate in roadshows, campaigns, market activations, and promotional events.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong customer relationships for repeat business and referrals.
Attend to customer complaints and inquiries professionally and promptly.
Ensure excellent customer service delivery at all times.
Maintain proper customer records and confidentiality.
Reporting & Compliance:
Submit daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
Ensure compliance with the bank’s operational policies and regulatory standards.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, collections, and customer engagements.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Monthly savings mobilization target achieved
Number of customers onboarded on the mobile app
Fixed deposit value generated monthly
Loan disbursement target achieved
Loan recovery and repayment performance
Number of active customers acquired monthly
Cross-selling performance on subsidiary products, including Foodstash
Customer retention and relationship management
Daily field marketing and visitation reports.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum of an OND / HND / B.Sc Degree in Marketing, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related discipline.
Previous experience in banking, cooperative, microfinance, fintech, or direct sales is an added advantage.
Strong marketing, negotiation, and persuasive communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and achieve set targets.
Good understanding of digital banking and mobile applications.
Strong customer relationship and recovery management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital communication tools.
Must be result-oriented, proactive, and willing to engage in extensive fieldwork.
Salary
N100,000 - N150,000 monthly.
