Job Title: Online Business Manager — Cuisine Brands & House of Maya

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Role Summary

  • The Online Business Manager will be responsible for managing and growing the online food and lifestyle business operations on Jollof.com, covering Jollof Kitchen, Sabi Spoon, Afro Fusion, and House of Maya.
  • The role is responsible for ensuring that all online products are properly listed, orders are fulfilled accurately and on time, customers receive excellent service, kitchen and production teams operate efficiently, inventory and costs are controlled, and the business achieves its sales, quality, and profitability targets.
  • This role requires a hands-on operator who can manage daily execution, coordinate across teams, improve processes, monitor performance, and support the growth of EBS-owned brands on Jollof.com.

Key Responsibilities
Online Platform Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of Jollof Kitchen, Sabi Spoon, Afro Fusion, and House of Maya on Jollof.com.
  • Ensure all products are correctly displayed on the platform with accurate names, descriptions, prices, images, categories, and availability.
  • Work with the technology, product, and content teams to fix platform issues affecting customer orders or business performance.
  • Monitor customer ordering experience and recommend improvements to make the platform easier to use.
  • Ensure unavailable, expired, or out-of-stock products are removed or updated promptly.

Product Listing and Catalog Management:

  • Manage the full online catalog for all assigned brands.
  • Ensure food items, packages, bundles, catering options, and House of Maya products are properly categorized.
  • Coordinate product uploads, pricing updates, menu changes, and promotional listings.
  • Work with production and kitchen teams to confirm product availability before publishing online.
  • Ensure all product descriptions are clear, attractive, and customer-friendly.

Order Fulfillment and Delivery Coordination:

  • Oversee the end-to-end customer fulfillment process from order placement to delivery.
  • Ensure customers receive the right products, in the right quantity, at the right time, and in good condition.
  • Coordinate with kitchen, production, dispatch, customer service, and delivery partners to prevent delays.
  • Track failed orders, delayed deliveries, wrong orders, complaints, and refunds.
  • Put corrective actions in place to reduce fulfillment errors.

Cuisine Brand Operations:

  • Manage the daily operational performance of Jollof Kitchen, Sabi Spoon, and Afro Fusion.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and production staff to ensure food quality, hygiene, packaging, and portion standards are maintained.
  • Support recipe standardization, menu documentation, product testing, and continuous product improvement.
  • Ensure production planning aligns with online demand, promotions, and customer orders.
  • Maintain consistent brand experience across all cuisine brands.

House of Maya Operations:

  • Oversee the online business operations of House of Maya on Jollof.com.
  • Ensure products are properly listed, priced, described, and available for customer purchase.
  • Coordinate inventory, order processing, fulfillment, packaging, and delivery.
  • Work with relevant internal teams to improve product presentation, sales performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Track product movement, slow-moving items, stock-outs, and customer feedback.

Sales and Revenue Growth:

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase online sales across all assigned brands.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, bundles, promotions, and seasonal offers.
  • Work with marketing to align campaigns with product availability and operational capacity.
  • Track daily and weekly sales performance by brand, product, category, and channel.
  • Recommend actions to improve revenue, repeat purchases, average order value, and customer retention.

Brand Execution and Customer Experience:

  • Ensure brand standards are maintained across Jollof.com, delivery packaging, customer communication, social media, and third-party platforms where applicable.
  • Work with marketing to ensure promotions, campaigns, and product visuals are aligned with business goals.
  • Ensure customer complaints are resolved quickly and professionally.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and support a positive brand reputation.
  • Work with the Customer Experience team to improve customer satisfaction and reduce repeat complaints.

Catering and Special Orders:

  • Coordinate catering requests, bulk orders, event orders, and special customer requirements.
  • Meet with or engage customers to understand menu needs, budget, delivery expectations, and event requirements.
  • Coordinate production planning, packaging, delivery, setup, service flow, and post-event feedback where required.
  • Ensure catering orders are profitable, well-executed, and delivered to standard.

Staff Coordination and Performance Management

  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen, production, fulfillment, and support staff involved in online business operations.
  • Organize daily tasks, shifts, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
  • Train staff on order accuracy, hygiene, packaging, customer handling, and operational standards.
  • Monitor staff productivity and escalate performance issues where necessary.
  • Promote accountability, discipline, teamwork, and service excellence.

Inventory, Procurement, and Cost Control:

  • Monitor inventory levels across food items, packaging materials, ingredients, and House of Maya products.
  • Ensure stock levels are properly tracked and replenished on time.
  • Apply FIFO principles to reduce waste, spoilage, and expired stock.
  • Work with procurement and finance teams to control costs and improve margins.
  • Track wastage, shortages, stock-outs, overproduction, and cost leakages.
  • Recommend cost-saving actions without reducing product quality.

Quality Control, Hygiene, and Compliance:

  • Ensure food quality, hygiene, safety, packaging, and presentation standards are consistently maintained.
  • Monitor product consistency across all cuisine brands.
  • Ensure customer orders meet agreed quality and quantity standards before dispatch.
  • Identify quality issues and work with the relevant teams to correct them quickly.
  • Ensure all operations follow internal policies and applicable food safety standards.

Reporting and Performance Management
Prepare and submit accurate reports covering:

  • Daily sales
  • Order volume
  • Revenue by brand
  • Best-selling products
  • Slow-moving products
  • Inventory status
  • Customer complaints
  • Delivery issues
  • Refunds or failed orders
  • Production output
  • Cost and wastage
  • Profitability indicators
  • Campaign performance
  • Team performance
  • Reports should be submitted daily, weekly, and monthly as required by management.

Required Skills and Experience
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Food Science, Operations Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms, restaurant management systems, inventory tools, or CRM systems.
  • Prior experience managing food brands, online restaurants, cloud kitchens, catering operations, or marketplace businesses.
  • Basic knowledge of digital marketing, online promotions, and sales campaigns will be an advantage.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Experience managing online food, restaurant, e-commerce, retail, or hospitality operations.
  • Strong understanding of online order fulfillment and customer service.
  • Hands-on experience managing kitchen, production, dispatch, or fulfillment teams.
  • Good knowledge of inventory management, FIFO, cost control, and basic accounting.
  • Ability to manage multiple brands, products, and operational workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work with marketing, technology, customer service, finance, procurement, and operations teams.
  • Strong reporting and performance tracking skills.
