Job Title: Executive Assistant to the CEO

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

  • We’re looking for a sharp, proactive Executive Assistant to work directly with the CEO and leadership team at GMYT Fashion Academy.
  • This isn’t a typical admin role. You’ll be the CEO’s right hand - managing priorities, handling communications, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. Strong writing and communication skills are non-negotiable because you’ll be drafting proposals, reports, emails, and content that represents the CEO and the academy.
  • If you’re organized, discreet, fast-thinking, and love turning ideas into clear, polished writing, this is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executive Support: Manage the CEO’s calendar, meetings, travel, and priorities. Anticipate needs before they arise.
  • Writing & Communications: Draft emails, proposals, reports, speeches, and external communications on behalf of the CEO. Edit and proofread all outgoing documents.
  • Project Coordination: Track projects, follow up with teams, and ensure deadlines are met across departments.
  • Research & Briefing: Conduct research, prepare briefing notes, and summarize key information for decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a point of contact for partners, clients, and internal teams. Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Event & Meeting Prep: Prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Business, or related field with 2+ years’ experience as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, or in a similar role.
  • Excellent writer and editor - you can write clearly, persuasively, and adapt tone for different audiences. Please include a writing sample or portfolio link.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills. You thrive under pressure and juggle multiple tasks.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
  • Tech-savvy: Proficient in MS Office, Google Workspace, and project management tools.
  • Proactive mindset - you don’t wait to be told what to do.
  • Interest in education, entrepreneurship, or the creative industry is a plus.
