Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced, professional, and results-driven Sales and Marketing Manager to lead sales growth, customer acquisition, client relationship management, marketing strategy, and business development activities.
The ideal candidate should have 5–10 years of proven experience in sales, marketing, business development, relationship management, or customer acquisition.
Experience within financial services, banking, fintech, insurance, consumer finance, investment services, or other professional service industries will be an added advantage.
This role requires a mature and confident professional with strong communication skills, commercial awareness, excellent follow-up ability, and a proven record of developing sales opportunities, managing customer relationships, and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to support business growth.
Identify new business opportunities and convert qualified prospects into customers.
Build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with clients, customers, partners, and key stakeholders.
Manage the sales process from prospecting and customer engagement to presentations, follow-up, negotiation, and closing.
Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor activity, pricing trends, and new market opportunities.
Plan and coordinate marketing campaigns, customer outreach activities, promotional initiatives, and brand awareness efforts.
Prepare sales reports, pipeline updates, market feedback, and performance summaries for management review.
Monitor sales activities and recommend practical strategies to improve customer acquisition and revenue performance.
Support customer retention through professional communication, consistent follow-up, and excellent service delivery.
Maintain accurate records of leads, customer interactions, sales activities, marketing results, and business opportunities.
Collaborate with management to set realistic sales targets and track progress against agreed objectives.
Represent the business professionally during client meetings, presentations, business discussions, and stakeholder engagements.
Ensure all sales and marketing activities are conducted in a professional, ethical, and compliant manner.
Requirements
Candidates should possess an HND or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Finance, Economics, Management, or a related field.
5–10 years of proven experience in sales, marketing, business development, customer acquisition, account management, or relationship management.
Experience in financial services, banking, fintech, insurance, consumer finance, investment services, or related professional sectors is an added advantage.
Strong understanding of sales strategy, customer relationship management, business development, and revenue growth.
Proven ability to meet sales targets, manage a sales pipeline, and follow up consistently with prospects and customers.
Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong client relationship management and customer service skills.
Ability to prepare clear sales reports, performance updates, and market feedback for management.
Good knowledge of digital marketing, social media promotion, customer outreach, and lead generation is an advantage.
Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Must be professional, honest, organized, target-driven, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under reasonable pressure, and deliver results within agreed timelines.
Preferred Experience:
Experience selling products or services to retail customers, SMEs, corporate clients, or high-value customers.
Experience in financial products, banking services, insurance, fintech, customer-facing finance roles, or professional service sales.
Experience with customer onboarding, sales compliance, customer documentation, and professional client communication.
Experience using CRM tools, spreadsheets, sales trackers, reporting templates, or customer management systems.
Ability to build long-term business relationships and maintain a strong customer network.
