The role is responsible for designing, implementing, standardizing, and continuously improving business and operational processes that enhance productivity, efficiency, scalability, cost optimization, operational control, and overall farm performance across land preparation, planting, crop maintenance, mechanized harvesting, input management, warehouse operations, logistics, processing support activities, and supply chain operations.
As Agbeyewa Farms continues to scale its commercial cassava farming operations, the Business Process Manager will be instrumental in building structured operational systems, improving workflow efficiency, strengthening process governance, optimizing equipment and resource utilization, and supporting data-driven operational decision-making across multiple farm locations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in operational process management within large-scale mechanized agricultural or industrial environments, with the capability to drive operational transformation initiatives, standardize procedures, improve cross-functional coordination, and embed a culture of continuous improvement aligned with world-class agribusiness and mechanized farming standards.
Working closely with farm operations, engineering, maintenance, supply chain, processing, finance, HSE, and technology teams, the Business Process Manager will establish operational standards, monitor process performance, support automation and digital transformation initiatives, improve operational visibility, and drive sustainable efficiency improvements that support Agbeyewa Farms’ long-term growth and operational excellence objectives.
Key Responsibilties
Map, analyze, redesign, and optimize operational and business processes across farming, processing, logistics, and corporate functions.
Identify operational bottlenecks, inefficiencies, process gaps, and productivity improvement opportunities.
Design the road map for implementing and acquiring iso 9001: 2015 certification and other required standardization certifications.
Develop scalable workflows and process frameworks that support operational growth and business expansion.
Drive process harmonization and standardization across multiple operational sites.
Develop, review, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for operational and administrative functions.
Ensure process documentation aligns with operational standards, compliance requirements, and best practices.
Establish governance structures for process compliance monitoring.
Conduct periodic process audits and operational reviews.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence methodologies.
Drive efficiency improvement projects focused on cost reduction, productivity enhancement, waste elimination, and turnaround optimization.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational discipline across departments.
Support business transformation and operational maturity initiatives.
Develop operational dashboards and performance tracking systems.
Monitor and analyze process performance metrics and KPIs.
Generate business insights and performance reports to support management decision-making.
Recommend corrective actions and process improvement interventions.
Support automation and digital process improvement initiatives across operational workflows.
Collaborate with technology teams on ERP optimization, workflow digitization, and operational systems enhancement.
Identify opportunities for technology-enabled efficiency improvements.
Partner with operations, engineering, supply chain, People Team, finance, and farm management teams to improve operational alignment.
Facilitate process workshops, stakeholder engagements, and improvement sessions.
Drive alignment between operational objectives and business process frameworks.
Identify operational risks and process control gaps.
Support implementation of risk mitigation measures and process controls.
Ensure compliance with internal governance standards, safety procedures, and operational policies.
Support implementation of process changes and transformation initiatives.
Drive stakeholder engagement and user adoption for new operational processes.
Conduct process training and capability-building initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, or related disciplines.
A master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage.
Minimum of 7–10 years’ relevant experience in business process management, operational excellence, or continuous improvement roles.
Experience within agribusiness, manufacturing, FMCG, industrial operations, supply chain, or large-scale operational environments is highly preferred.
Strong experience managing process improvement projects in multi-site operational environments.
