Terra Aqua Environmental Consultancy Limited is a Metal Recycling Plant a prominent player in the recycling industry. Specializing in the conversion of aluminum scraps and Used Beverage Cans (UBC) into high-quality aluminum ingots, our plant initially boasted a production capacity of 1200MT per month. Driven by a commitment to innovation and sustainability, we expanded our operations with a state-of-the-art facility with an installed capacity of 8,600MT of aluminum alloy ingots per month. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Internal Control Manager

Location: Ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Responsible forthe development of the company internal control policies and procedures, ensures their implementation and monitor compliance.
• Keep company from engaging in potentially illegal or unethicalactivities.
• Oversees the activities of all Departments and Sections under his control.
• Coordinates InternalandExternalAuditandoverseesimplementingrecommendations
• Reviews existing accounting and financial controls, insurance policies and other legal compliance processes in place and makesany necessary revisions or additions.
• Communicates urgent changes immediately with department managers and staff.
• Works with human resources to update policy manuals and other documentation to ensure immediate compliance by all staff involved.
• Conducts regular internal audits and reviews to assess the compliance of all departments and individual employees.
• Reviews processes and records to see that accountants are operating in line with generally accepted accounting principles, laws, industry, and company standards. The results ofthere views are shared with managers to aid in feedback, training, and development to ensure greater overall compliance.
• Engages actively with internal and external auditors to ensure consideration and resolution of all relevant risks and audit findings.
• Advises them of necessary training to bring the company, a department, or employees up to speed on compliance standards.
• Manages transfer pricing, consolidation and implements IFRS legislation.
• Formulates policies and procedures to improve internal controls, compliance, and efficiency.
• Leadsthe process for internal controls reviews across thecompany.
• Delivers adequate and timely reports on the internal control framework and controls deficiencies to ensure appropriate communication, documentation, escalation to business partners, senior leadership, and audit committee.
• Delivers adequate and timely action plans and monitors progress to address and resolve control deficiencies.
• Works collaboratively with business and process owners to implement and monitor remediation efforts that result from internal control assessments, ensures the effective implementation of corrective action.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration
• Masters' Degree in related field is an advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years real hands-on experience as an internal control manager in a senior management position in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in one ormore of the following: management, legal compliance, accounting, and auditing.
• ACA / ACCA, CFA, CPA, or other relevant qualifications with Proven skills and experiences are required.
• Solid understanding and experience with internal control frame works.
• Strong communication skills presenting internal control and risk matters with the right level of detail
