Job Title: Area General Services Coordinator
Job Identification: 1742 Locations: Kogi and Kwara
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure a world-class branch ambience through the maintenance of neat facades and consistent aesthetics (internally and externally) across all branches outside Lagos.
Drive environmental upgrades and periodic face-lifting of branches to reinforce the Bank’s corporate image and customer satisfaction.
Lead the planning and execution of construction and renovation projects, including new branches, refurbishments, relocations, ATM kiosks, galleries, and cladding.
Coordinate with Area General Services Managers (AGSMs) to ensure timely delivery, quality assurance, and adherence to approved specifications and budgets. Oversee the full construction lifecycle, including provision of equipment, tools, and furniture.
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for civil infrastructure such as roofs, ceilings, counters, tiling, septic systems, canopies, and repainting. Supervise vendors and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
Supervise the installation and maintenance of critical systems including generators, transformers, inverters, batteries, UPS, CCTV, fire systems, panic alarms, and air-conditioning units.
Ensure functionality of IT communication masts and safety devices (e.g., lightning arrestors, extinguishers, FM200 systems) in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Ensure availability and maintenance of branch tools and signage, including note counting machines, rate boards, and FX boards.
Oversee internal and external branding and regulatory signage across branches outside Lagos.
Serve as the primary interface with key internal stakeholders such as Procurement, CECM, BOSG, and Compliance to resolve escalated issues and improve turnaround time (TAT). Drive efficient service delivery across all support touchpoints.
Drive negotiation and renewal of lease agreements for properties outside Lagos. Liaise with the Real Estate team, landlords, and Legal units on property acquisition, documentation, and compliance.
Ensure prompt processing and payment of statutory obligations, including land use charges, ground rent, tenement rates, and other government levies.
Lead space optimization initiatives to ensure efficient utilization of branch and SBU spaces in line with operational requirements.
Track KPIs for AGSMs and provide periodic reports on project execution, cost management, SLA compliance, and operational risks. Recommend improvements to senior management.
Manage ongoing construction projects across all locations outside Lagos and Ogun States, including new builds, refurbishments, relocations, and upgrades to facilities such as Private Banking and Archive buildings.
Oversee implementation and enforcement of SLAs with approved vendors for all bank equipment across regions.
Direct all functional teams involved in branch openings outside Lagos and Ogun States, ensuring quality delivery of all requirements.
Coordinate and report on pre-vacation inspections, lease surrender processes, and negotiation of redecoration fees with landlords of closed or relocated branches, in collaboration with the Head Office Real Estate team.
Job Requirements
Education:
First Degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, Higher Degree/ Professional Certification/ membership of professional bodies.
Experience:
Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in facilities and infrastructure management, preferably in the financial sector.
Proven track record of project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership across multiple locations.
