Jewels Leading Lights Academy is a Christian School which started off in September 2013 and was birth from the Bible club where children gather every Saturday to learn about Jesus and how to shine as lights in their everyday lives. It was imperative to set up a learning environment that can breed a new generation which will be Christ centered and also posses the kind of higher-order thinking and problem-solving abilities that will be needed in the 21st century. We noticed that it is evident that schools are failing to produce future generations with Godly character and even the kind of minds that will create new knowledge in the natural, physical and social sciences.

Job Title: Music Educator

Job Summary

• We are seeking a passionate and skilled Music Educator to inspire learners through structured music instruction, performance training, and creative expression.
• The ideal candidate will be able to build learners’ confidence, musical understanding, and appreciation across different genres and instruments.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging music lessons for learners across assigned year groups
• Teach vocal training, instrumental basics, rhythm, and music theory, Violin is an advantage
• Prepare learners for performances, assemblies, and school events
• Develop and implement a structured music curriculum
• Identify and nurture musical talent among learners
• Maintain instruments and ensure proper use of music resources
• Collaborate with other educators for interdisciplinary learning activities.

Requirements

• Degree in Music Education or related field (or equivalent qualification)
• Proven experience teaching music in a school setting is an advantage
• Proficiency in at least one musical instrument
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Passion for child development and creative arts education.
