Job Summary
The Brand and Social Media Manager will lead the brand’s digital voice, online positioning, audience growth, and strategic communication across all platforms while ensuring alignment with the company’s vision, business objectives, partnerships, and market positioning.
The ideal candidate must be highly strategic, creative, organized, and commercially aware, with strong experience in brand strategy, corporate communication, digital marketing, audience growth, storytelling, and reputation management.
This role requires someone capable of managing multiple digital communication priorities in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating strategic thinking, creative depth, strong business positioning capabilities, audience intelligence, and exceptional communication skills, alongside the ability to drive visibility, engagement, partnerships, and measurable growth through impactful digital campaigns and premium brand storytelling.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a unified social media and digital communication strategy across all company platforms.
Maintain consistency in brand voice, messaging, tone, and visual identity across all digital touchpoints.
Position the company as a globally relevant African brand through strategic storytelling, communication, and audience engagement.
Create and manage content calendars aligned with campaigns, partnerships, launches, institutional activities, and business objectives.
Manage and grow the company’s presence across Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
Lead digital campaigns focused on brand awareness, audience growth, lead generation, partnership visibility, academy enrolment, and event promotion.
Develop communication strategies that support business growth, brand positioning, and market relevance.
Translate company vision, projects, partnerships, and impact initiatives into compelling digital narratives.
Collaborate with designers, videographers, photographers, writers, and creative teams to produce high-quality, premium content.
Build and manage performance-driven content and marketing funnels across social and digital platforms.
Monitor trends, cultural conversations, audience behaviour, and industry movements to keep the brand relevant and competitive.
Support executive and leadership positioning through thought leadership content and strategic communication.
Craft communication around innovation, creative economy, entrepreneurship, technology, youth development, and global partnerships.
Manage online reputation and audience engagement with professionalism, emotional intelligence, and strategic communication.
Respond effectively to community interactions, sensitive conversations, and public-facing brand issues.
Analyze campaign performance, audience insights, engagement metrics, and digital growth data to optimize strategy and performance.
Lead paid digital campaigns across Meta, LinkedIn, Google, YouTube, and other relevant platforms where necessary.
Ensure all communication aligns with the company’s long-term positioning, values, and growth objectives.
Identify opportunities for partnerships, collaborations, visibility, and digital expansion through strategic communication and marketing initiatives.
Build and nurture an engaged online community that strengthens audience trust, credibility, and brand loyalty.
Stay updated on emerging digital trends, platform updates, content innovation, and communication best practices.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Public Relations, Business, or related field.
5+ years experience managing digital communication or social media for a premium brand, media company, creative institution, or corporate organization.
Strong understanding of the African creative and digital ecosystem.
Experience managing high-level brand communication and multi-audience platforms.
Proficiency in digital tools such as: Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Canva / Adobe Suite, Social scheduling and analytics tools
Competence in brand strategy, corporate communication, digital marketing, social media strategy, content marketing, audience growth, paid advertising, storytelling and copywriting, community management, analytics and reporting, executive communication, reputation management, campaign development, visual communication, and trend and cultural intelligence.
