Job Title: HSE Officer

Location: Lagos

Description

• We are seeking a qualified and proactive HSE Officer to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance on construction sites.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing HSE policies, conducting safety inspections, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and promoting a strong safety culture across all project activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures on site.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
• Ensure all workers comply with company safety rules, use of PPE, and safe work practices.
• Carry out toolbox talks, safety inductions, and HSE training for employees and contractors.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor permit-to-work systems and ensure compliance for high-risk activities.
• Ensure proper emergency response procedures and first aid arrangements are in place.
• Conduct risk assessments and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) for site activities.
• Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and company HSE standards.
• Monitor housekeeping and environmental management practices on site.
• Liaise with management, contractors, and regulatory authorities on HSE matters.
• Maintain HSE documentation, records, and statutory compliance requirements.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 monthly.
