With a team of skilled professionals and cutting edge technology, we are well suited to cater for both businesses and individuals who need loans (borrowers), or want to make returns (lenders) on our marketplace.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Recovery Officer 

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Daily Visitation of Overdue Accounts: Conduct regular, scheduled visits to clients with overdue accounts to establish communication, understand their situations, and encourage timely payment.
• Enforcing Payments Compliance: Implement strategies to ensure that all clients adhere to payment schedules, addressing any barriers they may face in fulfilling their financial obligations.
• Customer Complaint Resolution: Respond to and resolve all customer complaints within a 48-hour timeframe, ensuring that customer concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
• Collateral Recovery: Successfully claim collateral from customers who are in default, utilizing appropriate legal and negotiation strategies.
• Fraud Detection and Escalation: Monitor accounts for any signs of fraudulent activity. Upon discovery, escalate these accounts to the appropriate authorities or internal teams in a timely manner to prevent further risk.
• Collection Targets: Achieve a target of collecting at least 70% of overdue payments, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in a relevant field.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a similar role within the finance or collections industry is required to ensure competency and effectiveness in fulfilling these responsibilities.
• Additional certifications in finance, collections, or related fields will be considered a valuable asset.
• Strong negotiation skills, enabling you to have constructive discussions with clients regarding overdue payments.
• Excellent writing skills, necessary for documenting interactions, customer complaints, and any relevant correspondence.
• Sufficient understanding of Google Workspace & MS Office.
