Global Ease HR Consulting and Academy is currently recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sous Chef

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistent quality, presentation, and taste of all dishes.
• Plan and execute menus, including daily specials, seasonal dishes, and special events.
• Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff to uphold culinary standards and professional behavior.
• Manage inventory, order ingredients, control costs, and minimize waste.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene, safety, and compliance with food safety regulations.
• Resolve operational issues quickly, ensuring seamless service during peak hours.

Documentation and Knowledge Management:

• Maintain accurate recipe records, portion guidelines, and ingredient specifications.
• Document kitchen procedures, safety protocols, and staff training materials to ensure continuity.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Culinary Degree or equivalent professional experience in reputable kitchens.
• Minimum 1–2 years of kitchen experience, including supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards.
• Proven leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Added Advantage:

• Experience managing a high-volume or fine-dining kitchen independently.
• Expertise in menu planning, dietary accommodations, or specialized cuisines.
• Familiarity with kitchen management software or inventory systems.

Engagement Expectations:

• Lead the kitchen team by example, maintaining a positive and professional environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility with work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service staff to maintain timely delivery.

Salary
N180,000 - N200,000 per month.
