Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type:Full-time
Job Purpose
The Technical Assistant to the MD/CEO serves as the primary analytical, technical, and strategic anchor for the Executive Office.
Operating at the intersection of property development, corporate strategy, and high-level stakeholder management, the TA acts as a "technical filter" to review proposals, evaluate Joint Venture (JV) opportunities, monitor project portfolios, and ensure decisions made by the MD are seamlessly executed across all departments.
Review, analyze, and vet incoming real estate proposals, technical designs, architectural briefs, and expressions of interest before they reach the MD.
Prepare concise executive summaries, risk assessments, and recommendations on proposed land acquisitions and investments.
Monitor ongoing construction project dashboards (milestones, cash flows, and delivery timelines) and flag potential delays or variations to the MD before they escalate.
Financial Modeling & Business Intelligence:
Conduct deep-dive market research on property trends, rental yields, and land values across Abuja (e.g., Maitama, Asokoro, Guzape, Wuye, and emerging sub-markets).
Build and stress-test baseline financial models, feasibility studies, and Return on Investment (ROI) projections for prospective residential and commercial developments.
Analyze competitor activities and regulatory updates from the FCDA, AGIS, and the Federal Ministry of Housing to brief the MD on emerging risks and opportunities.
Stakeholder Liaison & Gatekeeping:
Act as the MD’s proxy in internal and initial external meetings, ensuring the MD’s strategic intent is clearly communicated and maintained.
Serve as a highly professional bridge between the MD’s office and internal department heads (Project Management, Legal, Finance, Marketing).
Manage relationships with high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), corporate institutional clients, Joint Venture partners, and senior government officials.
Executive Operations & Board Secretariat:
Attend high-level technical, management, and board meetings alongside or on behalf of the MD; record detailed minutes and distill them into actionable tracking registers.
Systematically follow up with department heads to ensure deliverables and directives assigned by the MD are completed on schedule.
Develop elite, boardroom-ready PowerPoint presentations, technical briefs, and corporate speeches for the MD.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Professional Background:
Bachelor’s Degree: Minimum of a Second Class Upper (2:1) in Estate Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
Postgraduate: An MBA, Master’s in Real Estate Economics, or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
Professional Affiliation: Membership in relevant bodies (e.g., NIESV, PMI, ARCON, COREN) is an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum of 4–7 years of progressive corporate experience, with at least 2 years operating within a real estate development firm, investment banking (real estate desk), or directly supporting a C-Suite executive in a technical capacity.
Proven track record of analyzing real estate financial models and reading architectural/engineering master plans.
Technical Competencies:
Advanced mastery of MS Excel (financial modeling, formulas, data visualization) and MS PowerPoint (storyboarding, executive slide design).
Solid understanding of the Nigerian Land Use Act, Abuja Geographic Information Systems (AGIS) processes, and FCDA building approval workflows.
Strong technical writing skills with the ability to turn complex engineering or financial data into scannable executive briefs.
