Job Title: Procurement Manager

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Procurement Manager to lead and manage the company's procurement activities.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, purchasing, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• The ideal candidate should possess strong commercial acumen, excellent negotiation skills, and proven experience in procurement operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in an agrochemical manufacturing company or a bottled water production company.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best value in terms of quality, cost, and delivery.
• Manage procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, spare parts, equipment, and services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and strategic suppliers.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations and audits.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply risks to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare and manage procurement budgets and forecasts.
• Collaborate with production, warehouse, quality assurance, finance, and logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Lead contract negotiations and manage supplier agreements.
• Monitor inventory levels and work closely with stores and planning teams to optimize stock availability.
• Generate procurement reports, spend analysis, and management dashboards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and supplier management.

Qualifications and Experience
Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, MCIPS, or equivalent will be an added advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5–8 years' procurement experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience managing procurement activities within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience in supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, strategic purchasing, and vendor management.

Preferred Industry Experience:
Candidates with prior procurement experience in any of the following industries will be highly preferred:

• Agrochemical manufacturing
• Crop protection chemicals
• Fertilizer production
• Bottled water production
• Beverage manufacturing
• FMCG manufacturing environments

Required Skills and Competencies:

Preferred Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate should:

• Have demonstrable procurement management experience in an agrochemical company or bottled water manufacturing company.
• Possess an established network of suppliers within the manufacturing sector.
• Be highly skilled in negotiating favorable commercial terms and long-term supply agreements.
• Have a strong understanding of procurement risks, quality standards, and regulatory compliance in manufacturing operations.
• Be capable of working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple procurement categories and stakeholders.
