Job Summary

• The General Maintenance Officer is responsible for ensuring the proper upkeep, repair, and maintenance of the organization's facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
• The role involves carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance activities, identifying faults, and ensuring that all facilities remain functional, safe, and conducive for operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of company facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on buildings, fixtures, and equipment.
• Repair minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and masonry issues as required.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Monitor the condition of company assets and recommend repairs or replacements where necessary.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed in accordance with safety standards and company procedures.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance work.
• Ensure proper use, handling, and storage of maintenance tools and equipment.
• Report major faults and maintenance concerns to management.
• Support facility improvement and renovation projects.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of maintenance work areas.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND, Trade Test Certificate, or equivalent technical qualification.
• Proven experience in facility maintenance, building maintenance, or a related role.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repair work.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Physically fit and capable of handling maintenance tasks.
