Job Title: Front Desk Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Front Desk Officer serves as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and staff.
  • This role ensures professional front desk operations, courteous and efficient service, accurate handling of inquiries, proper visitor management, and smooth daily office operations.
  • The role also supports administrative functions to facilitate operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and receive all visitors professionally, issuing visitor identification and ensuring proper access.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, directing them to the appropriate departments or personnel.
  • Respond to inquiries accurately and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Maintain detailed visitor logs and submit regular reports to the supervisor.
  • Schedule appointments and provide support to internal teams.
  • Maintain the reception area and common spaces in a clean, organized, and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with security and other departments to ensure smooth front office operations.
  • Support administrative tasks as needed to ensure operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a customer-facing, administrative, or front office role.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
  • Professional and friendly demeanor with strong customer service orientation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office systems.
  • Ability to handle stress, remain calm under pressure, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated teamwork, collaboration, and reliability.
