Job Title: Career Specialist (Job Application Strategist)

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time (Hybrid)

About the Role

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Career Specialist to join our Professional Branding team. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping others succeed, understands the job search process deeply, and thrives in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
  • This role plays a critical part in helping our students land cybersecurity jobs by executing strategic job applications, building recruiter relationships, and securing interviews on behalf of our students.

Key Responsibilities
Job Application Execution:

  • Submit 15–20 high-quality job applications per day on behalf of assigned students.
  • Tailor resumes to specific job descriptions with 85–100% ATS match rate.
  • Research and identify relevant job opportunities across multiple platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, company websites, etc.)
  • Track and document all applications submitted for reporting and accountability.

Recruiter Outreach & Relationship Building:

  • Conduct direct outreach to recruiters and hiring managers on behalf of students.
  • Build and maintain relationships with recruiters in the cybersecurity industry.
  • Follow up strategically with recruiters to move applications forward.
  • Secure minimum 10 interviews per month per assigned student.

Performance Tracking & Reporting:

  • Document all job applications, recruiter interactions, and interview outcomes.
  • Submit weekly performance reports to management.
  • Meet or exceed KPIs consistently.
  • Contribute to team performance reviews and strategy sessions.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with Branding Specialists to align job applications with student branding.
  • Participate in weekly team reviews and training sessions.
  • Communicate regularly with students about job search progress.
  • Provide feedback to improve processes and workflows.

Performance Metrics

  • 15–20 job applications submitted daily per student.
  • 85–100% ATS resume match rate.
  • Minimum 5 interviews secured per student per month.
  • Timely follow-ups with recruiters (within 48 hours).
  • 100% completion of weekly performance reports.
  • Student satisfaction rating of 4.5/5 or higher.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or career services.
  • Strong understanding of ATS systems and job application best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet daily metrics.
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn, job boards, and applicant tracking systems.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity roles (GRC, SOC Analyst, Compliance, Risk Management).
  • Previous experience in recruitment for tech or cybersecurity positions.
  • Experience working in a metrics-driven or quota-based environment.
  • Knowledge of resume optimization and personal branding strategies.
