Job Title: Strategy Officer

Location: NESCO (Nigeria) Limited’s Head Office, Bukuru, Jos South - Plateau

Purpose of the Job

• Assisting in the development, communication, and execution of NESCO's strategic initiatives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Strategy Officer shall therefore be responsible, but not limited, for the following:

• Assist in the formulation of the company's strategic plan by conducting research and analysis on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape
• Conduct SWOT analyses to identify the company's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to guide informed decision-making process
• Evaluate potential business development opportunities, including partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, and new market entries
• Support the planning and execution of strategic initiatives and projects, ensuring alignment with NESCO's objectives
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to implement strategic plans effectively
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies
• Gather and analyse data on market trends, customer preferences, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in the power industry
• Provide insights to inform strategic decision-making and identify areas for innovation and improvement
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including department heads and project managers, to ensure cohesive strategy execution
• Identify potential risks associated with strategic initiatives and develop contingency plans • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies in all strategic activities
• Prepare regular reports and presentations for Head, Strategy and Business Development, highlighting progress, challenges, and recommendations
• Undertake other tasks as may be assigned by the Head Strategy and Business development

Requirements
Minimum Educational & Professional Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:

• First Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
• Master’s degree or professional certification in Strategic Management is an advantage
• Must have 0-3 years of relevant experience

Attributes and Competencies:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software
• Effective project management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
