Job Title: Operations Manager & Business Development Officer (Industrial Catering) 

Location: Port Harcourt , Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

The Role

• We are looking for an experienced Operations & Business Development Officer with vast and proven knowledge of industrial catering operations, camp services management, and client acquisition within the oil and gas, marine, construction, mega event, and industrial sectors.
• The ideal candidate must understand the dynamics of managing large-scale catering operations while actively sourcing, negotiating, and securing new catering contracts and service agreements.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Management:

• Coordinate and supervise daily industrial catering operations.
• Ensure efficient manpower deployment and service delivery across project locations.
• Monitor food production, service quality, inventory management, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all HSE, food safety, and quality assurance standards.
• Monitor operational costs and implement effective cost-control measures.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational performance reports.

Business Development & Marketing:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the industrial catering sector.
• Source and secure catering, camp management, housekeeping, and laundry service contracts.
• Develop and maintain relationships with procurement teams, facility managers, project managers, and decision-makers in target organizations.
• Prepare compelling proposals, quotations, tender documents, and presentations.
• Support contract negotiations and ensure successful onboarding of new clients.
• Develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives to increase market penetration and revenue growth.

Requirements

• HND / B.Sc. Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ proven experience in industrial catering operations
• Demonstrable experience sourcing and securing catering contracts within corporate, industrial, offshore, or onshore environments.
• Strong understanding of industrial catering operations, food service management, budgeting, and cost control.
• Excellent business development, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to prepare professional reports, proposals, and tender documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Experience working with oil and gas servicing companies, EPC contractors, marine companies, or industrial service providers will be a significant advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Age: 35 – 40 years
• Highly organized, proactive, and result-oriented.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of winning business.
• Capable of working independently and delivering results under pressure.
• Possesses an established network within relevant industries.

Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 monthly.
