We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Garki, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Industry: FMCG – Wholesale & Retail

What you’ll do

• Manage payables and receivables – ensure suppliers and customers are reconciled, payments are timely, and bad debt is minimized.
• Handle budgeting and forecasting – build monthly/quarterly forecasts, track actuals vs budget, and flag variances early.
• Oversee tax compliance – prepare and file VAT, CIT, PAYE, and other statutory returns accurately and on time.
• Support audits – prepare schedules, liaise with internal and external auditors, and close gaps fast.
• Maintain accurate ledgers – manage general ledger, fixed assets, inventory valuation, and month-end close.
• Provide financial insights – deliver reports to management that explain what’s happening and what to do next.

Requirements

• Proven experience in FMCG wholesale and retail accounting. You understand margins, stock movement, and trade discounts.
• Solid grasp of forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Working knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and filings.
• Experience with full audit cycles and year-end processes.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel. SAP, QuickBooks, or Zoho experience is a plus.

Salary
N300,000 - N350,000 per month.
