Job Title: Process Technician

Location: Sagamu, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

• The job objective of the Process Technician is to carry out activities to optimize the production processes and assist the Process Engineer in championing the continuous performance optimization of different production shop with the aim of lowering energy consumption and other technical KPls that drives variable cost of production.

Responsibilities

• Performs all tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Check for safety and cleanness in the workplace.
• Ensure compliance to all safety rules and standards at all times in processes.
• Maintain Cleanliness of Process Equipment Area.
• Analyze all processes, identify all fundamental issues and assist in appropriate resolution.
• Monitor the parameters relating to plant operations and develop methods for better output from or greater stability of the production process.
• Validate end control correctness of sensors.
• Validate the quality of process data reported.
• Assist in conducting a production process studies and audits which deems necessity or which are requested by line management, with the possible assistance of expert from technical center or plant process manager.
• Liaise with operational staff, CROs, patrollers etc. on operational issues that affect plant performance.
• Define missions and objectives for the workforce and can out their performance reviews, promote quality of the work and motivate personnel, develop skills to keep abreast with new management methods and tools.
• Comply with EMS Process Instrumentation activities.
• Ensure involvement in the implementation and maintenance of integrated management system in the plant.

Requirements
Education:

• Other Degree or equivalent in any Engineering discipline (Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering)

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 Years of experience in any cement plant.

Required Skills:

• Working knowledge of cement manufacturing processes: raw meal preparation, buring, combustion, grinding and packing operation.
• Commitment to the highest standards of safe work habits.
• Sound analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of safety and environmental laws and regulations.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
