Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Senior Auto Mechanic with strong experience in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles and luxury passenger buses.
• The ideal candidate must be technically sound, capable of diagnosing complex mechanical faults, and ensuring maximum fleet availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and CNG-powered buses and vehicles.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on fleet vehicles.
• Troubleshoot engine, transmission, suspension, braking, cooling, and steering systems.
• Inspect and repair CNG fuel systems, regulators, injectors, cylinders, and related components.
• Perform diesel engine overhauls, gearbox and major mechanical repairs when required.
• Ensure vehicles meet safety and operational standards.
• Support breakdown recovery and emergency repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Supervise junior technicians and ensure quality workmanship.

Required Technical Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience working on luxury buses, coaches, and commercial vehicles.
• Practical knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics, repairs, and engine overhauls.
• Experience with CNG systems, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Knowledge of air brake systems, pneumatic systems, and suspension components.
• Experience with steering systems, wheel hubs, clutches, gearboxes, and driveline repairs.
• Ability to diagnose faults using diagnostic scanners and troubleshooting tools.
• Good understanding of cooling systems, fuel systems, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Basic auto electrical and electronic diagnostic knowledge is an added advantage.

Requirements

• 7–10 years' hands-on experience as an Auto Mechanic, preferably within a transport or fleet management environment.
• CNG Experience
• Trade Test Certificate, NABTEB Technical Certificate, City & Guilds, or other relevant technical qualifications.
• Must NOT Be more than 40yrs of age.
• Proven experience working on buses, coaches, luxury transport vehicles, or heavy-duty commercial vehicles.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead maintenance activities.
• Good communication and team supervision skills.
