The Board and Executive Management of the group have determined that an Insurance Brokerage business is complementary to our existing businesses, and have therefore decided to set up an insurance brokerage business which will be jumpstarted with a N50m captive commissions revenue.

Job Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / MD
Location: Lagos Island, Lagos

Reporting: Dual reporting line – The Board and the Group Managing Director
Age bracket: 35 - 40 years
Role Summary
The Managing Director will be responsible for developing and implementing business strategies, managing client relationships and driving growth and profitability.
The MD will provide leadership and direction to the team, foster a culture of excellence and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Chief Executive Officer of the business - Our Insurance brokerage Firm.
Develop a multi - year business plan for the business, and the strategy for executing the plan.
Grow the inhouse (existing clients base of the Group) insurance business opportunities.
Develop the universe of markets outside of the in - house one to grow the business.
Arrange for the necessary hirings to drive his strategy.
Lead the business sustainably profitably.
Present the business at the quarterly Board Meetings and Management Performance Review sessions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Strategy and Growth:
Develop and implement business plans to drive growth and profitability.
Identify new business opportunities and build relationships with key clients and partners.
Collaborate with department heads to achieve business objectives.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, brokers, and insurance companies.
Provide exceptional client service and ensure client satisfaction.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing clients.
Team Leadership:
Lead and manage a team of insurance professionals, providing guidance and support.
Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and teamwork.
Develop and implement training programs to enhance team performance.
Risk Management and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
Monitor and mitigate potential risks to the organization.
Financial Management:
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Ensure financial performance meets targets and industry benchmarks.
Performance Management:
Coordinate the development of key performance goals for functions and direct reports.
Present reports at Monthly Performance Review Meetings and Board Meetings.
Hiring:
Ensure key hiring and talent development programs for the Company.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field.
Professional Certifications: Must be a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria. And a member of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers and possess the current membership clearance certificate of the council.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in insurance brokerage, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
