Redline is an auto repair company with branches in lagos and abuja, that offers complete vehicle repair and maintenance, the company has been in existence for over 10 years with specialty ranging from mechanical, electricals. A/c repairs, Body work etc.

Job Title: Workshop Operations Supervisor

Location: Lekki 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and disciplined Workshop Operations Supervisor to lead our workshop team and drive operational excellence.
• The Workshop Operations Supervisor will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the workshop, ensuring staff discipline, monitoring productivity, coordinating repairs, enforcing company procedures, and ensuring vehicles are completed on schedule and to the highest quality standards.
• This position is primarily a leadership and management role, not a hands-on technician role.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:

• Supervise all workshop staff including technicians, electricians, spray painters, panel beaters and other workshop staff.
• Allocate jobs and resources efficiently.
• Monitor vehicle progress from diagnosis to completion.
• Ensure adherence to company workflow and SOPs.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings.

Staff Supervision & Discipline:

• Monitor attendance and punctuality.
• Enforce workplace discipline and professional conduct.
• Ensure no unauthorized movement during working hours.
• Address performance issues and escalate when necessary.
• Mentor and develop workshop staff.

Vehicle Management:

• Assign technicians to vehicles.
• Monitor turnaround times.
• Prevent vehicle abandonment and unnecessary delays.
• Ensure proper diagnosis before repairs commence.
• Verify completion of repairs before QC inspection.

Quality & Performance Management

• Work closely with the Quality Control Officer.
• Reduce rework and repeat repairs.
• Ensure technicians follow repair procedures.
• Track workshop productivity and efficiency.

Reporting:

• Submit daily workshop reports.
• Submit weekly productivity reports.
• Report operational challenges and recommendations to management.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Workshop attendance compliance.
• Number of vehicles completed.
• Vehicle turnaround time.
• Technician productivity.
• Rework rate.
• Customer complaint rate.
• Staff discipline and compliance.
• Workshop cleanliness and organization.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in automotive workshop operations.
• Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repairs, bodywork and workshop procedures.
• Proven ability to manage teams and enforce discipline.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic reporting tools is an added advantage.
