We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Software Quality Assurance (QA) Intern

Location: Remote
Team: Product & Engineering
Duration: 12 months

Role Overview

• As a QA Intern, you will work closely with the Product, Engineering, and Design teams to identify bugs, test new features, and help ensure a smooth and reliable user experience.
• This role is ideal for recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in software quality assurance within a fast-paced startup environment. You will contribute to the quality of PayOak's products while learning industry-standard testing and quality assurance practices.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Testing:

• Test web and mobile applications to identify bugs, usability issues, and inconsistencies
• Execute manual test cases and document test results
• Report, track, and verify bugs using project management or issue-tracking tools
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues
• Participate in product reviews and pre-release feature testing
• Help improve testing processes and quality standards
• Support regression, functional, and user acceptance testing (UAT)

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this internship, applicants must:

• Be 30 years old or younger
• Have graduated from a tertiary institution in 2022 or later
• Have successfully completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme
• Be available to participate in the full 12-month internship programme.

Other Requirements:

• Basic understanding of software testing principles and QA processes
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Trello, ClickUp, or similar platforms is an advantage
• Basic understanding of web and mobile applications
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a startup environment

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of test case creation and bug reporting practices
• Exposure to APIs and basic technical concepts
• Familiarity with automation testing tools is an added advantage
