Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Warri, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

  • A fast-growing agribusiness and climate-smart infrastructure companyseeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of strategic projects across our operations.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, stakeholder management, and project execution skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, and external partners to achieve project objectives within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • This role is particularly suited to professionals with experience managing integrated farm developments, infrastructure projects, construction projects, donor-funded initiatives, or investor-backed projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Lead project implementation from initiation through completion and handover.
  • Coordinate contractors, consultants, suppliers, and project teams to ensure timely execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within approved scope, budget, quality, and timelines.
  • Prepare project reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Manage procurement activities related to project execution and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Oversee contract administration, contractor performance, and vendor relationships.
  • Conduct site inspections and project reviews to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
  • Track project expenditures and maintain effective budget control.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement, including interactions with investors, development partners, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and reporting systems.
  • Coordinate project documentation, approvals, permits, and record management.
  • Support strategic planning and business development initiatives related to project expansion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Agriculture, Construction Management, Business Administration, Architecture, or a related field.
  • A Master's Degree will be an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8–15 years of progressive project management experience.
  • Proven experience managing integrated farm projects, infrastructure developments, construction projects, donor-funded programmes, or investor-driven projects.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience managing project budgets, contractors, procurement activities, and stakeholder relationships.

Technical Competencies:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience using project management platforms such as Asana, Monday.com, Trello, Primavera P6, or similar tools.
  • Strong project reporting and documentation skills.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and cost control expertise.
  • Procurement and contract management experience.
  • Risk management and project governance knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle management methodologies.

Professional Certifications (Preferred):

  • Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • PRINCE2 Certification.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
  • Agile Project Management Certification.
  • Any relevant engineering, construction, agriculture, or development-sector certification.
