Job Title: Principal Project Engineer

Job Purpose 

• The HA & HB-Buko projects aim to provide c. 350-450 MMscf/d of gas to the NLNG Train-7 from 2029+, as well as 25-30 kb/d of oil and condensate for export.
• The project’s projected gas supply constitutes c. 25% of the overall supply to the NLNG Train-7. 
• The HA project completed FEED in Apr-25 and is now completing the tendering phase of the project contracts.  
• The HB-Buko project has initiated FEED in Q2-26. It is the plan for project to take jointly FID end of Q1-27.
• Given the strategic importance of both projects to the NLNG Train 7, and in order to derisk the project execution schedule to protect the First Gas Date, a full integration and optimization of HA & HB-Buko has been endorsed by the JV partners to improve the business case and to accelerate further optimizations of the projects.  
• The delivery of HA & HB-Buko projects will provide a strategic platform for future developments in the H-Block node and offer the opportunity to deepen and broaden in-country skills/experience in Shallow Water Offshore (SWO) project execution. 
• Given its size, complexity and the strategic nature of the project, we are looking for an experienced and energetic Principal Project Engineer who will be part of the team to drive the DED/Fabrication Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication and Load out of the Temporary Drilling Deck (TDD), Jacket and Piles of the Well Head Platform (WHP), Processing Platform (PP) and Accommodation Platform (AP) scope of HA Project.  
• This job vacancy is an Individual Contributor role and location is Port Harcourt 

Responsibilities

• Effectively plan, execute, manage and deliver the Temporary Drilling Deck (TDD), Jackets and piles of the Well Head Platform (WHP), Processing Platform (PP) and Accommodation Platform (AP) of the HA Project, and load out onto the vessel of the Transportation and Installation contractor. 
• Ensure that the works are executed with due regard to the Project technical and business standards and requirements, the required completion date and budget. 
• To work with a multidiscipline team and Contractors for HA Project and manage interface with multiple worksites including multiple onshore fabrication yards and offshore project location with the attendant logistics and communication challenges 
• Ensure the production of an overall integrated project engineering deliverables that consider plant safety, operability, reliability, maintainability, and availability to meet the Opportunity schedule, Cost & Production Promises.  
• Responsible for the project execution strategies/plans. 
• Drive Third party execution contractor’s performance for all project engineering aspects. 
• Maintain good communications with the relevant Regulatory bodies, JV Partners and other Government authorities. Work with the project’s permits and consent focal point to ensure that all applicable statutory permits and approvals are obtained on time. 
• Interface management across all project phases with contractors and vendors. 
• Integrating and embedding the Collaboration. Respect, Integrity, Safety and Performance (CRISP) culture for achieving project’s objectives. 
• Establishing and maintaining a positive discipline mind-set for personal safety (role model commitment to Life Saving Rules, Goal Zero), other HSSE requirements such as the Asset Integrity/Process Safety standard, diversity and inclusiveness, Renaissance Business Principles management system – No Harm, No Leaks, No Ethics & Compliance Violation, and legal compliance. 
• Lead role to ensure Contractor’s full understanding of design drawing and project specification requirements. 
• Manage the activities of the Contractors involved in the delivery of the projects to complete the Fabrication Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication and Load out of structures safely, in accordance with the specified standards and specifications, on time and within budget. 
• Provide effective leadership to the team of Project Engineers and Company Site Representatives (CSRs), to allow them to perform to the best of their ability.  Provide feedback, coaching and support for their career development
• Manage all contracts as per the Renaissance Contract Management Guideline to minimize exposure to claims and variations. 
• Provide strong leadership in HSE and ensure that Renaissance HSE policies and standards are addressed in the facilities detailed design and the execution of work on- and off site. 
• Ensure effective stakeholder involvement in all relevant aspects of the projects, particularly NUIMS, NCDMB and NUPRC. 
• Ensure best practice Project Controls are implemented, including planning, cost reporting, progress reporting and budgeting  
• Manage the QA/QC process during the design, procurement and construction phases and demonstrate the Technical Integrity of the facilities. 
• Maintain good communications with the relevant Communities and Statutory bodies and ensure that all required permits are obtained as required. 
•  Ensure proper Management of Change during detailed design and construction. 
• Lead, coach, develop and manage own staff, contributing to effective and timely development and deployment of project delivery resources; and contribute to continuously raising the quality of project execution. 
• The incumbent should be capable of working in a constrained environment whilst maintaining the ability to plan, co-ordinate, motivate and direct staff. 
• Good working knowledge on all relevant Renaissance HSE regulations including procedures, guidelines and work instructions. Full understanding of HSE management principles and their applications in Renaissance projects

Job Dimension:

• Interfaces: HA Topsides, Pipelines and Transportation & Installation Teams, Production & Asset Managers, Subsurface/Wells, Logistics, Maritime, IM/IT, C&P, Engineering Discipline, SCD, Finance; HSE; Legal, BGR, other related HA/HB work packages / teams, relevant contractors, vendors and service providers.
• External Relations: Regulatory Authorities, Government Agencies ,JV Partners , Host communities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 14 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, including a strong working knowledge of project engineering systems, tools, methodologies, and best practices.
• Demonstrable experience in fabrication and offshore construction is essential.
• Member of a recognized professional engineering body. COREN registered
• Candidate must have at least PE1 with either PMQ or PMP certification.
• Project Management skills with experience in managing construction, interfaces, risks and stakeholders to achieve projects’ objectives.
• Extensive Project management experience and skills with proven record of being involved in similar projects. 
• Experience in Contract and Contractors management.
