Delight Affection Foundation (DAF) is a registered, non-profit humanitarian and development organization dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable, underserved, and crisis-affected populations through inclusive, rights-based, and sustainable interventions. Established in 2019, DAF works across the Humanitarian–Development–Peace Nexus, delivering life-saving assistance while strengthening community resilience and promoting long-term development outcomes.
DAF implements integrated programs in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Nutrition, Health, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Protection, Education, Climate Change Adaptation, Gender Equality, and Emergency Response. Our interventions are designed to address immediate humanitarian needs while empowering communities with the knowledge, resources, and capacities required to recover, thrive, and become self-reliant.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership and Management:
Lead the planning, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of projects across DAF's thematic sectors.
Provide strategic guidance to project teams to ensure quality program delivery and achievement of project objectives.
Ensure projects are implemented in accordance with approved work plans, budgets, donor requirements, and organizational policies.
Develop and monitor program performance indicators and ensure timely corrective actions where necessary.
WASH, Nutrition and Cholera Response Programming:
Support the design and implementation of WASH and Nutrition interventions targeting vulnerable populations.
Coordinate cholera preparedness, prevention, and response activities in collaboration with government authorities and sector partners.
Provide oversight for hygiene promotion, sanitation improvement, safe water initiatives, and community-led behavior change campaigns.
Ensure integration of Nutrition-sensitive and WASH-sensitive approaches across projects.
Support implementation of Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) activities during outbreaks and emergencies.
Promote community awareness on cholera prevention, handwashing, water treatment, food hygiene, and environmental sanitation.
Program Development and Resource Mobilization:
Lead proposal development, concept note writing, donor mapping, and fundraising initiatives.
Contribute to the development of project budgets, logframes, work plans, and implementation strategies.
Identify funding opportunities and support strategic partnership development.
Prepare high-quality donor reports, project updates, and organizational briefs.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL):
Ensure robust monitoring, evaluation, learning, and accountability systems are integrated into all programs.
Support data collection, analysis, documentation of lessons learned, and dissemination of best practices.
Ensure Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) mechanisms are functional and responsive.
Monitor project indicators and support evidence-based decision-making.
Coordination and Representation:
Represent DAF in sector coordination meetings, technical working groups, clusters, forums, and stakeholder engagements.
Build and maintain productive relationships with government agencies, donors, UN agencies, INGOs, NGOs, community leaders, and other relevant stakeholders.
Strengthen collaboration and partnerships that enhance program impact and sustainability.
Team Management and Capacity Building:
Supervise, mentor, and support program staff and volunteers.
Facilitate capacity-strengthening initiatives for staff and community stakeholders.
Promote teamwork, accountability, learning, and professional development within the organization.
Cross-Cutting Themes:
Ensure mainstreaming of Protection, Gender, Inclusion, Safeguarding, Disability Inclusion, Climate Change Adaptation, and Conflict Sensitivity across all projects.
Promote community participation and localization approaches in program implementation.
Uphold humanitarian principles and organizational values at all times.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Development Studies, Public Health, Social Sciences, Project Management, International Development, Nutrition, Environmental Health, WASH, or related fields.
Master's Degree will be an added advantage.
Experience:
3–5 years of progressive experience in humanitarian and development programming.
