We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Grant Mobilization and Partnership Officer
ARISE is seeking a motivated and highly organized Grant Mobilization and Partnership Officer to support the organization’s resource mobilization, partnership development, and external relations efforts.
The role will focus on identifying funding opportunities, developing high-quality grant proposals, and strengthening strategic partnerships with development partners, donors, civil society organizations, and other key stakeholders.
The Grant Mobilization and Partnership Officer will work closely with program teams and senior management to ensure effective proposal development, donor engagement, partnership coordination, and alignment with ARISE’s strategic objectives, while ensuring compliance with donor expectations and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop high-quality grant proposals, concept notes, and funding applications for bilateral and multilateral donors, foundations, and development partners aligned with ARISE’s priorities.
Identify, track, and analyze funding opportunities relevant to ARISE’s thematic areas, including livelihoods, GBV prevention, peacebuilding, WASH, education, and climate resilience.
Lead proposal development processes, including technical writing, budgeting, and ensuring timely submission of applications.
Contribute to the development and strengthening of ARISE’s resource mobilization strategy.
Design and support the implementation of ARISE’s organizational resource mobilization framework.
Strengthen ARISE’s resource mobilization policies, systems, and procedures to improve efficiency and accountability.
Conduct donor mapping and intelligence gathering to understand better donor priorities, funding trends, and partnership opportunities.
Partnerships & External Relations:
Manage and strengthen existing strategic partnerships with development partners, civil society organizations, government agencies, and other institutional stakeholders in line with ARISE’s mandate.
Initiate the development of a Partnership Policy, including practical tools and guidelines to support effective partnership management within ARISE.
Conduct partnership mapping to identify and engage new strategic partners aligned with ARISE’s thematic areas and organizational priorities.
Support the development and implementation of partnership engagement strategies to enhance collaboration, visibility, and impact.
Maintain and nurture relationships with existing donors and partners while proactively identifying opportunities for new strategic partnerships.
Support the preparation of partnership briefs, reports, concept notes, and presentations for stakeholders and external engagements.
Contribute to the development and strengthening of ARISE’s institutional resource mobilization strategies.
Support the design of partnership strategies, action plans, and reporting frameworks to guide effective implementation and accountability.
Competency Requirements:
Familiarity with donor compliance requirements, reporting standards, and grant management systems.
Experience supporting or contributing to partnership development strategies and institutional fundraising plans.
Strong analytical skills for interpreting donor priorities, funding trends, and partnership opportunities.
Experience working in complex humanitarian or development settings is an added advantage.
Qualifications & Skills
Qualification: BA / BSc / HND, MBA / MSc / MA
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in grant writing, proposal development, partnership management, or resource mobilization within a non-profit, development, or advocacy organization.
Proven experience in developing successful grant proposals and managing donor relationships.
Strong understanding of donor funding mechanisms, development programming, and partnership engagement processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong proposal and report writing abilities.
Strong interpersonal, networking, and relationship management skills.
High level of professionalism, integrity, discretion, and strong organizational ability.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
