Job Title: Nursery / Primary Teacher

Location: Woji & Rumuodara - Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• A Nursery/Primary Teacher plans and delivers lessons to young learners, supports their overall development, manages classroom activities, and works closely with parents and school management to ensure pupils achieve learning goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials.
• Teach subjects according to the school curriculum.
• Create a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Assess and monitor pupils’ progress and performance.
• Encourage good behavior and positive social interaction.
• Organize classroom activities, games, and educational exercises.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and academic progress.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about pupils’ development.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events.
• Support pupils’ emotional, physical, and moral development.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum of NCE, B.Ed., or related teaching qualification.
• TRCN certification may be an advantage.
• Good communication and classroom management skills.
• Patience, creativity, and passion for teaching children.
• Ability to use modern teaching methods and educational technology.
• Previous teaching experience may be preferred.
