Job Title: Experienced Radio Field Support Engineer

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

• The Radio Field Support Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end management, optimization, and maintenance of the company’s wireless and microwave radio infrastructure.
• You will lead on-site technical interventions, diagnose complex link degradation, and ensure that all network expansion projects are implemented to the highest engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnostics on microwave links and radio equipment to resolve persistent interference or latency issues.
• Regularly monitor and fine-tune radio link performance, including path alignment and transmit power adjustments, to ensure optimal data throughput.
• Lead the installation, configuration, and commissioning of new radio hardware and antenna systems at both new and existing sites.
• Oversee a rigorous schedule of site inspections, focusing on tower integrity, cable health, and power system reliability.
• Act as a safety champion for the team, enforcing strict "Working at Heights" protocols and ensuring all field work complies with organizational Health & Safety policies.
• Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to Junior Radio Field Support Engineers, helping them develop their diagnostic and tower-safety skills.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in radio frequency (RF) or microwave field operations within the telecommunications industry.
• Advanced proficiency in microwave link alignment, frequency planning, and spectrum analysis.
• Hands-on experience with modern radio equipment, tower climbing, and rigging safety.
• Professional certificationis a plus for this role.
