Job Title: Civil Engineer (Experienced)

Job Summary

• We are seeking a competent and experienced Civil Engineer to join the team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating construction projects to ensure quality delivery, compliance with regulatory standards, cost efficiency, and timely completion.
• The role requires hands-on experience in building construction and infrastructure development within the real estate sector.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution:

• Supervise and coordinate construction activities on assigned projects.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and construction plans.
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to approved timelines.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance to site teams.

Site Supervision and Quality Control:

• Ensure all construction works are executed according to approved designs and quality standards.
• Monitor workmanship, material usage, and construction methodologies.
• Identify and resolve technical issues arising during project execution.
• Prepare site reports and maintain accurate project records.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with Nigerian building regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities as required.
• Assist in obtaining necessary approvals and permits for construction activities.

Cost and Resource Management:

• Monitor project costs and material utilization to minimize waste.
• Assist in project budgeting, cost estimation, and procurement planning.
• Review contractor work progress and recommend payments where applicable.

Health and Safety:

• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety policies on construction sites.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and recommend corrective actions.
• Promote a culture of safety among contractors and site personnel.

Stakeholder Coordination:

• Collaborate with architects, quantity surveyors, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical recommendations.
• Prepare and submit project progress reports to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc./B.Eng.) in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) is an added advantage.
• COREN registration or evidence of progression towards registration is an added advantage.

Experience:

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, preferably within the real estate, construction, or property development industry.
• Proven experience in supervising residential, commercial, or mixed-use construction projects.
• Experience in site management, quality control, and project coordination.

Required Skills and Competencies
Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering design software.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, structural works, and infrastructure development.
• Knowledge of Nigerian building codes and construction standards.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Industry Experience:

• Candidates with experience in real estate development, residential estates, commercial buildings, infrastructure projects, and property construction will be highly preferred.

Salary
N500,000 - N600,000 monthly.
